Parker's Blog

Parker has a blog.  Allison's a bit jealous.  Nooo...

Parker's kindergartener teacher has a fabulous blog set up for his class.  She includes a large amount of photos, making sure to include each child.  And, more often than not, she uploads them even before the end of the school day.

The first day of school (yes parents, they are happy and well):

This is the third day of school, which was a Friday.  Friday is always show and tell day.  Parker took in some Lego's that he'd built to look like and airplane.  For some reason they were allowed to wear regular clothes instead of their uniforms this day:

This is lunch the first day of school in the cafeteria.  I had him buy his lunch the first two days so that he learned how to do it while all the other kids were also learning:

 ow, this is lunch the third day of school.  The third day of school I sent him with his lunch in his lunchbox, in his backpack.  What is wrong with this picture?  After I had walked away from the computer, after seeing it about an hour after it was taken, but he wasn't yet home, it hit me.  I had made his lunch that day but he was clearly eating a school lunch, and the picture couldn't have been from a different day because he wasn't wearing a uniform.  Gotcha!

The little boy in the white shirt with brown sleeves is probably going to become one of his best buddies ever.  They are in the same class at school, they are in the same class at church, and our new house and their house face each other across the street directly.

Out on the playground.  This school that we attend has a lot of money to spend on a lot of things, and they are very good about spending it on their playground equipment.  Parker's playground sits in an inner courtyard of three floors of classrooms, some of it is even covered by the bottom of the second floor, still with equipment there, for when it rains and then they can still go out and play.

The school also does a very, very, very good job of spending lots of money on technology.  Here Parker has taken pictures of himself and his classroom, with the camera built into the screen, and is "playing around" with how to distort the colors and shapes.
