I'm going to "cheat" and mark "Visiting Kennedy Space Center" off of the list of things to do while living in this house! On my trip home from Las Vegas, I ended up leaving there 1-1/2 hours late. This caused me to miss my connecting flight, and therefore not arriving home in time. This was a slight problem because Jeremy and the kids were going to meet me at the airport and we were going to go on to Orlando, where we needed to be the next morning. I was able to cancel the next flight that they booked me on and switch my connecting flight to Orlando. During this time, Jeremy was scrambling to finish packing for the night and for the next day. Once he was on the road, at nighttime, traveling south towards the Space Center, on the night of the shuttle launch, they were able to see the whole thing right in front of them! As they were driving down the interstate, the shuttle just rose out from behind the trees and they even saw the rocket boosters detach. The whole thing lasted about 1-1/2 minutes. Everyone was excited and thought it was spectacular.
