Happy Valentine's Day!

We've had a great Valentine's Weekend with lots of treats from family, friends, and neighbors! They either sent or brought over: cupcakes, cookies, chocolates, and cards. We made a few treats ourselves to give to some of them. And, Jeremy even got Sarah what she really wanted: chocolate-covered strawberries!

And, we HAD to order the heart-shaped pizza from Papa John's...the kids loved it!

Jeremy earned his Bachelor's in Criminal Justice and Sarah earned hers in Child and Family Development. Jeremy spent a total of 13 years with the Army. Jeremy recently graduated with a Master's in International Affairs from American University. He speaks Spanish and Malay. He goes to work at his "dream job" which he's been with for almost 8 years. Sarah taught preschool after her degree and then became a "stay-at-home" mom (yeah, right!). She is the CEO, CFO, COO, CIO, etc. of everything related to the family. This is our ninth house (ID, MO, KY, TX, KY, CA, GA, VA, SG). We are now six: Jeremy, Sarah, Allison, Madison, Parker, and McKenna. We stay busy in Singapore! We like to soak up all the adventures of the places around us and deal with the ones we are given!

When I Die...

"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister Scheneck's lawn. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know that I was really here and that I really lived."
