35
Sarah's 35th birthday arrived today. She got to sleep in a few extra "minutes" and was served Dunkin Donuts donuts and hot chocolate for breakfast. She had Jeremy and all the kids home due to the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. She was able to fit in some treadmill time, and grateful her machine didn't ask her her age for a workout regime, because she's now in the next age category. She was able to do five loads of laundry, clean out Madison's room, and organize the playroom. She had the dishes done for her, the mail (from Saturday) retrieved for her, and someone else went to Lowe's hardware to buy another expensive outdoor trashcan. She was not bothered in the shower until she was stepping out, which happened to be the exact moment of her birth, and therefore she was met by five other people to cheer (yell) "Happy Birthday." She received phone calls from her parents and Jeremy's grandmother. She had blood drawn for a new (roll-over) life insurance policy...the only draw-back (pun not intentional) of the day...but, accomplished. She was able to make her own, favorite, cake. She was treated out to dinner at an Italian restaurant that she'd been wanting to try for quite some time and everyone behaved. She received a red scarf and a pair of slippers as presents. She will sit on the couch in front of the t.v. for the rest of the night and use "it's my birthday" as a reason to choose the channels jointly watched with her husband. She will spend tomorrow responding to a long list of e-mails wishing her a great day and wonderful year. Today started 35 off very well for Sarah!

Woohoo!! Happy birthday! I'm glad you had a good day and that your family is all together. I remember going to see you on your bday when Parker was a baby and Jeremy was deployed. So glad things are... better...? now. :-)
that's the way to spend a 35th birthday!! and I'm with you - I always hate it when I move to a new age category on any kind of survey, online or otherwise. mech.
Happy belated birthday. Why do we have to get older? I always make my own cake now too, so that it turns out right!
