MASTER BATHROOM PICTURES ARE FINALLY HERE!

So, here's a reminder of what the bathroom looked like when we went house-hunting in August of 2009:

We negotiated that the "country birdhouse" wallpaper be taken down.  Here's what it would have looked like when we closed on the house at the end of September:

Here's what the bathroom started to look like when Jeremy started the demolition in January of 2010.  It was completely demolished, including:  1/2 of the drywall taken down, some studs replaced, all necessities thrown out, cabinetry removed and placed in the upstairs hallway, and all tile, including the floor, removed.  I should have taken a picture of the bare-bones of that!

Then, we took approximately four months to decide what to do and how much to pay to do it.  Good thing that we had three other bathrooms, including three other toilets and two other showers!  Part of what took so long were all the appointments.  You'd sit in an appointment for two hours and only decide on what tile and the layout.  Another appointment took up trying to find the right faucet hardward, in the correct style and finish for the number and price you need.  Heaven-forbid if you change your mind on something, because then you start that part of the process all over again.  And that was just with the decorator.  Then, once everything is finalized, they send it off to the construction company.  We'd originally put a whirlpool tub in, then changed it to a garden tub with a tile top (because of the price--price of the tub, price of the motor, and price of a new breaker and electrical wiring...and price of the electrician!).  We saw the measurements on that and went with a regular tub to enlarge the shower back to the size that we preferred.  That was a head ache.  And here's what we ended up with:

So, what makes it "almost done"?  Nothing major.  Just trying to find the time.  The door between the built-in cabinet and the sink cabinet is the closet door.  We own the trim, it needs to be taken down and replaced.  The trim at the bottom of the door was attached to the tile that created a border around the bottom of the wall.  That idea was not redone.

Also, the lighting above the sinks.  We also own the new fixture.  It is more modern and square to match the room better.  It looks like a long square rod and four square globes will hang from it.

But, we can live with this!  And so, we call it "almost done."
