We finally made it to a park in McLean, VA, we'd heard lots of great things of ever since we moved here. (We started the morning with a baby shower, a birthday present to be delivered to a party we'd be missing, setting up a brand-new tent and having a late lunch before we made it.) It was a wonderful day, a little bit cool, but sunny. Parker was thrilled with this

There was a fun maze. Jeremy is helping Parker. He's in the blue shirt in the middle of the picture, and Allison is up front in the right corner. Between the maze and Allison was a fun "street"/track that ran around the playground with "one ways", round-abouts, stop signs, etc.
McKenna has become a big fan of the thrill of going down a slide:

After spending a couple hours out there, we headed down a few miles and visited the Jefferson Memorial. Then, we headed to a restaurant named Silver Diner for dinner and home for baths and bed. Typical Saturday!

I love that park! Liam was obsessed with the little race car game near the track.
That looks so fun! I'm looking forward to the day when we can spend (at least a few hours on) Saturday doing fun things as a family.
We miss Klemijontri (sp?) and all you VA folks!
