We have a second tree. It's the White House Christmas ornament tree. It's for show, not for touching!!! We have all the White House ornaments from when they started being made by the White House Historical Association around 1984. Here's this year's gorgeous ornament:
And, our stockings are hung, too. (Do not look too closely at the fireplace and mantle which are in the process of being remodeled.) But, Santa has no trouble knowing whose stockings are whose by the personalized hangers:
And we woke up to ready-to-go Christmas breakfast donuts (a.k.a. snowmen and reindeer):
And the presents. This is Jeremy and Sarah's sixteenth Christmas as a married couple, however, it is only the third time they have spent it in their own house, annnnnnnd, it is the very, very first time that they have spent it without any other family members. This did not end up being a sad, dreaded moment (no offense to all the "other" family members reading this!). It simply meant a little less "organized chaos" than all other years: Santa's presents (robe and slippers from Justice, pink and purple watch, Princess piano/keyboard, and Monster Truck Mater set):
"Prized" presents. Allison got an iPod:
Madison got a Lalaloopsie doll:
Parker got large animated Transformers:
McKenna got a Barbie doll with matching Barbie car:Sarah (no picture) got a number of white ceramic serving bowls, dishes, plates, and platters. Jeremy got some new ties, and these two Transformer DVDs:
Also amongst the presents, Sarah's cousin Carrie, and her family sent everyone a fun book. Thanks Carrie, Carl, Emily and Avery!
To be continued in Florida!
