Jeremy is ready to graduate. It is finals week and all he has left is a 6-7 page essay paper. At American University, they hold a "reception" for those who graduate in the winter months. Jeremy can choose to walk in the springtime, but for now, he and Sarah attended the reception Friday night. It was two hours of mingling, with drinks and appetizers served by waiters, followed by an appetizer and dessert buffet and open "bar."
The kids always want to know what we eat. Here's a sampling there:
Here's the graduate's list. It was accompanied by a very, very nice thin binder holding a notepad, as a gift.
The president of the university spoke for a couple minutes. We all clapped, and then went back to our conversations with fellow classmates. Here's the graduate:
