Jekyll Island-Spring Break
We decided to spend one day of Spring Break at Jekyll Island (nicknamed "Georgia's Jewel") which is only about 20 minutes away. Usually we visit the great playground or beach. On this day we visited the Georgia Sea Turtle Center, had a picnic lunch, played on the really great playground, and then played a round of miniature golf. It was a sunny and windy day, but great weather.
This is one of the turtles in the hospital. They rehabilitate those who have special needs or have been hit by boats. Madison was perplexed that one was named Tinkerbell! Parker was fascinated when they came up for air.
Some favorite pictures at the playground. Parker was running around a little bit too much to get a pretty nice photo.
Miniature golfing was pretty comical. This photo is of Parker. When he got his ball into the hole, he would raise up his arm, with putter in hand, and compliment himself with "hooray" or "yay"! We missed it on video.
