Theodore Roosevelt Island

This afternoon we packed a picnic dinner and headed over to Theodore Roosevelt Island. As you are coming from Virginia and crossing the Key Bridge into D.C. you can look over in the Potomac River and see it. You must park in the parking lot and cross a foot-bridge onto the island. No cars or bikes are allowed. Just people, dogs, and strollers. It was a hot day, but with the shade it was very nice. We visited the memorial and walked a couple trails. We all liked it enough to go back sometime.
