A couple Saturday's ago, we had the missionaries over for dinner. However, this time was a little unique.
In our last church ward in VA, there are several missionaries serving. When we moved out, there was one that had been serving in Singapore for a year. So, we had known him and were friends with his parents.
Upon arrival here, we waited until he was back in Singapore (versus Malaysian areas) and were able to link up and have him and his companions over. He is an office elder right now and has two companions until the next transfer.
It was so much fun. We all did a lot of catching up and conversing. We had made pasta for dinner because he, Elder Isa Abutaa, had said he hadn't had any of that in a very, very long time. So, we also sent him home with some macaroni and cheese (which is very expensive to buy here).
We made him take a picture to reassure his mom that he's doing very well:
