Gardens by the Bay

On Saturday, we hit another big spot to visit, Gardens by the Bay.  It is another location that has many areas to explore.  We visited the two cooled conservatories and the outdoor supertrees.

There were fun places to sit.  The alligator was definitely one, but we want an elephant:

Not all trees or plants were labeled.  However, this one was:  Monkey Puzzle Tree.  The name with the tree was a little fascinating for the kids:

The brochure did state that you could walk by thousaind-year-old olive trees:

Then, we headed over to the Cloud Forest.  We enjoyed the cool mist that created a cloud-like atmosphere, and the 35-meter man-made mountain and waterfall:

We've been following the construction of these Supertrees for some time.  They will eventually be fully covered with plants as the plants continue to grow on.  At night they are all lit up, but we did not stay that long.

And just for fun, this was our taxi there that day.  The driver says that there are only eight London cabs in Singapore, and his is the only pink one:

Cost:  somewhere around $75 US dollars for both conservatories.
