Spring Break & the Zoo

It is April and we have definitely had our fill of "April showers" (waterfalls would be more like it most of the days).  IT has rained (or poured) for the past 5 or 6 Saturdays.  This puts a "kink" in outdoor springtime fun.  Our school Spring Break officially started yesterday (Monday).  We hadn't been to the National Zoo in a little while, so I braved the parking crowds (wasn't in the mood to get up early, brave the work traffic and park at the Metro station).  Although all of D.C., 1/2 of Virginia, and part of Maryland, I'm sure, had the same idea.  It was a lovely, cloudy day...warm enough and not too hot.
