McKenna is 8 months

McKenna turned eight months old yesterday. She had a doctor's appointment today. She weighs 18-1/2 pounds and is 27-1/2 inches long. McKenna has a set of lungs! It did not take the doctor long to notice the true extent of them. McKenna did NOT like the crinkle paper on the exam table. Therefore, she literally screamed through half of the appointment. At one point, we stopped that part of the exam and set her on my lap and continued on with another part of the exam. The doctor talked smoothly and jovially to her telling her that she was an "actress" because she (the doctor) did not see any tears!

McKenna is very fond of fruits, breads, and crackers. We will be moving on to meats and reverting back to the rice cereal (mixed with fruit). She will start using a sippee cup soon. McKenna can roll over to one side and is almost at the sitting up stage. She grabs for items and exchanges them between hands. She does quite a lot of babbling AND singing! She can say dada and mama. She takes two very short naps during the day, but she does sleep for 11 hours at night.

The first picture has McKenna wearing her "winter hat." It is actually a red hat with black ladybug spots...and two black, knit antenae sticking straight up (which you can't see very well in this picture).
